HDFC Bank Ltd and Housing Development Finance Corp have completed a merger, making HDFC Bank the first Indian company to rank among the world's most valuable banks. With a market capitalization of $172 billion, it now ranks fourth globally, behind JPMorgan Chase, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Bank of America.
