I am looking for ways to export ambient noise measurements from an #Apple #AppleWatch.

Are there any services that integrate with #HealthKit to achieve this? A bonus if said service also can analyze the data. And create reports and raw exports.

For those who are using workout mirroring on #watchOS 10 and HealthKit, it turns out that HKHealthStore workoutSessionMirroringStartHandler isn't being called on the remote device when the session is started from the apple watch. FB12754636 #watchOSDev #iOSDev #healthKit

Since the Apple Watch can measure “time in daylight” I thought it was a good idea to make an app to encourage you to go outside more.

i would like to introduce a technical executive with an engineering background and diabetes to someone in the #HealthKit team at #Apple, because a “no updates" control failed and her blood glucose instrument silently stopped working overnight because of it.

this could be an incident that could be impacting a lot of people that don't know about it and she's recovering to a working state again but i don't think this should have happened. the FDA certified the device for #AppleHealth lil’ halp?

Any recommendations for a smart scale that auto-updates HealthKit data? Preferably want a scale that doesn’t hoover up my data in an invasive way. Ideally, I’d like to use a third party, privacy preserving app with the scales, if possible.

Withings looks good, but the app is a privacy no-no judging by it’s App Store label. If I use Withings with a third party app, is that better (assuming that app preserves privacy)?

Does anyone have suggestions for ECG/EKG devices that work with HealthKit?

I found a number that say they are compatible with smartphones and such, but I can’t find anyone that clearly states that they can log data INTO HealthKit. One device I tried worked really well, but only with the companion app, and no ability to centrally store data in Health.

Any pointers appreciated. Please boost.

I just spent 5 minutes reading an article on #HealthKit I found with a web search. At the bottom, the author filed it under #iOS 8-so since the article’s inception a few years have passed. The article isn’t bad an so generic that it’s not stale information, but for heavens sake, **please**, all your bloggers under the sun, give me a date at the top so I can filter faster…

So we got #CoreData which worked brilliantly. Next is to mess around with #HealthKit. I suspect I can also bring in my boilerplate code here and integrate it without too many changes.

If all works well, I can start designing and building the new app over the long weekend that's coming up shortly. 🎉

I've had an itch I've been wanting to scratch for a while: when I wake up, there are some basic measurements I take. I then input those into #HealthKit through my phone. I don't want to deal with my phone first thing in the morning. However, I do sleep with my #AppleWatch. So, I have this image of a simple, intuitive UI on the watch as an independent app for those inputs which then sync to HealthKit. I think it's time I put a #prototype together.
