After 24 years, medical records are much less private than ever before. Patients no longer have the option to limit sharing of their medical information, and it's impossible to determine who has copies of medical records.

But also an important reminder to all people who #menstruate that unless it is actually relevant to your needed medical care, that you don't have to (and probably shouldn't) provide this information to your doctor either, because in many states, medical records can be seized by medical licensing boards and other agencies without patient consent, in an appalling number of circumstances.
