Hello ☀. Perfect afternoon for a wander in the #heartofargyll .

A stunning walk around Loch #Barnluasgan home of the official Scottish Beavers and up to the viewpoint over the Add estuary as it snakes through the salt marsh to the sea, Loch #Crinan to the islands beyond and Mull in the far distance. You can spot Dunadd Fort, Kilmartin Glen, the rare raised bog of Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve all golden in the late sunlight. On Barnluasgan the reflection was perfect. And #beaver lodge huge! What an amazing day for being #outandabout! #heartofargyll.

I walked to my local postbox this afternoon. Can you see why the 2.5 mile round trip took an hour and a half? I love how the light plays on the hills in the late afternoon. Highlighting lumps, bumps, mountains and the occasional castle! I also met my new favourite Herdwick ram, I called him Leo. This time last year, the weather was a little different from today. Loved my mini adventure up scouting out the path to Cnoc na Faire above Carsaig Bay overlooking the Sound of Jura with the famous Paps touching the clouds. Look at that water! 😍
The path was indistinct, a rough deer path up to the crags from the forestry trail but well worth the climb. It was very windy but dry!
