Another interesting hand is One of Each, basically, a card from each of the five suits that are not a set or run. Since I've been talking about poker hands, this would be a pair, but not a three-of-a-kind.

Outside of these specific hands, everything plays like whatever five card game of poker you choose.

It's changed enough to be interested without being overwhelmed of choices. There you go, Heckerized Poker. :)

#Heckadeck

Getting all four different face cards and a 10 will never be the same suit. However, getting the Beast, Queen, Jack, 10 of one suit and a King is the rarest hand. To follow the mythology I created, this King would have won over the Queen and the Beast to merge two kingdoms. I would call this an Royal Empire Straight.

Similarly, you could get a full house with Kings and Beasts. Since there is enmity between all Kings and Beasts, this hand would be a Sacred House (or Neutral Ground).

#Heckadeck

Finally playing around with my Heckadeck. For those that do not know, it is an eight-suited deck of 160 cards. It would be great for card-based solo RPGs.

I made a deck I call the Five Realms deck. There are 5 suits, Queen through 2. Three suits has Kings, and two suits have Beasts. Beasts are higher than Kings in rank.

I have a mythology about this deck, that Beasts are mistrusting of all Kings and protective of their Queens.

Let's walk through this deck's version of poker.

I have started a game of Fortuna Mythica and I plan to post that soon.

From there, I plan to post on a Heckadeck remix of that game as well as remixes for other card games and solo RPGs like Wrenched and Alone.

Stayed home sick today. I shouldn't have gone out, but today was the only day to pick up my wife's birthday present. (Chinese Mahjong, 144 tiles)

Along the way, I discovered Heckadeck, and 8 suited deck of cards with and extra face card and several other cards.
