First Pike Melon flower for the season! (Yes, this excites me). I have a special place in my heart (and garden) for heirloom plants.

I'm trying to recall the name of an old-fashioned "farm garden" flower that grows similarly to delphinuim/hollyhock/larkspur (tall stalks), but has a "word" for a name and not the usual flowery name.
It's a rather plain flower in comparison, but a deep indigo w/ white.
HELP!

“A smoldering and memorable marigold with gracefully wavy stems and smoky orange and red blooms that resemble embers in a crackling fire. This old variety has long been tended at the Linneas Botantical Gardens in Uppsala, Sweden.”
Last summer I grew this heirloom variety marigold, ‘Burning Embers’ from seed..a glowing beauty! And you only need one: it forms a 3 x 3‘ shrub!

Went down a bit of a rabbit hole when I posted my Rembrandt tulip photo today. If you want to learn more, this is an illuminating blog:

And if you want to add some of these lovely heirloom bulbs to your garden, this is a wonderful source of antique bulb varieties:
