I'm almost half way through In My Own Moccasins by Helen Knott, and I've only barely held back the tears. Even while sharing about some of the darkest moments of her life, she also highlights all of the beautiful and caring people who are her community. The friends and family and acquaintances who each found a way to support and hold her when she most needed it.

The love in this book is beautiful.

I was gifted this beautiful book last year for Christmas, and today I decided was the day to finally start it. I have a feeling it might take me a while (it includes a cw at the beginning about the heavy topics discussed), but I have no doubt this is going to be a really good book.
