at this point, the greek gods have to be like TOTALLY INTO the sort of fanfictiony, modernized, yassified version of themselves that we've created, right?

like im constantly seeing modern hellenist pagans on tiktok making little memes of their gods that seem like a superficial interpretation of their personas in the myths, with little to do of their historical worship

and we could have a debate about how appropriate this is but i dont see hellenist pagans being struck down by divine intervention? they often seem to have relationships with the gods that seem compatible with their sort of blasé attitude. idk its just something i noticed

are there people who worship specifically the Mycenean versions of the Greek gods or at least like a version of the pantheon more heavily influenced by how the greek gods might have been worshipped during that period? like how poseidon was a god of the earth and underworld

like theres enough differences between that and the Greek gods that we know now that you could have like a whole religion

but also most hellenists i know seem to be pulling the opposite direction, towards modernizing their gods and embracing how they have changed even since Greece stopped worshipping them

I need to rebrand myself on my other socials. I've tried really hard to make my brand about education of astrology and very beginner / "baby witch" friendly, but I was doing it from a secular place. That isn't the case anymore, as I've fully dedicated myself to the theoi and recognize their rightful place in the stars.
I'm unsure of how to proceed. I want to focus mostly on astrology, and I want to put my best foot forward while representing the gods astrologically.
Another thought is that I don't see anyone else on my side of social media representing the theoi with their astrology, and maybe that would make me stand out? That would be helpful, but I do not want to "use" the gods in that way, or make them feel like I'm clout chasing, since I am so new to the faith as a whole.

Any thoughts or ideas? Any and all commentary would be appreciated 💙
