Greetings. I need some #help searching #mastodon:

I would like to find the intersection of 2 or more terms.

For example, how do I call up posts that include BOTH “cat” and “dog”?

I tried searching with permutations of “+” but ended up with ALL posts for the first term, not eliminating posts that didn’t include the second term too.

I use 🐘 on my iPhone- either the app or safari.

Every year, I struggle with the SSL installs on my web domains because one year I didn’t get it installed right and the spam was amazing and almost every year, my provider’s help desk staff gets back to me and makes soothing sounds about how I do actually know what I’m doing, it just feels like I don’t. Friday we spent an entire day wondering what broke our software systems. I had a hunch from the beginning it could be the Antivirus somehow.

As time goes on we find the issue, fix it, now to determine root cause. You guessed it, the Antivirus install we noticed was changing a value to be incorrect and thus causing our issues.

The typical: "Nope nothing changed" was the line we got about it too.

Because of #Google's recent #Chrome #DRM garbage and the drip-drip-drip of other sub-optimal stuff, I've decided to try again to wean off of Chrome and over to #Firefox, starting with my #Linux desktop (phone later).
One thing I'm missing is the ability to make a web page into a desktop app. Chrome does this well, Firefox doesn't seem to support it at all. Am I missing something?

continuing.... Due to abandonment the past 3 years the damage to my health + realization I'm #Autistic means I can't work a solid 8 hours, need a flexible schedule, etc.

The weight of the grief I feel is extremely real and something I give myself all the compassion for.

I think it's an important reminder. When someone says they are a "good employer", they aren't. They doth protest too much.

If we are going to move away from logmein for ad hoc remote connections to customer computers to something else, (partly for $$ reasons) that is EASY for the end user to give us access, what do you recommend? It needs to be something we can set up easy access to remote users as required, while assisting said users, including users who we have not connected to before.

TeamViewer? Zoho assist? AnyDesk? I know @sylmobile got a couple of suggestions recently, that I have not found in a quick search.. It is mainly connecting to Windows PCs, occasional Macs...

Dringende #Tech-Frage: Ich habe ein neues #Google #Pixel7a und damit keine stabile Netzeinwahl – weder für Telefonie noch mobiles Internet. Ich bin unterwegs mehr off- als online, meist nur Edge. Alle Einstellungen bzgl. automatische/manuelle Netzeinwahl, bevorzugter Standard, Akkuoptimierung etc. haben nichts gebracht. Ebenso der Umstieg auf eSIM. #O2 kann keine Störungen feststellen.

Ist's die SIM, O2, die Hardware, eine Einstellung oder ein Bug?
