Is oomphinc/composer-installers-extender a drop in replacement for robloach/component-installer?

I can't seem to get it to work with composer 2 and the config/setup looks the same but it doesn't compile component packages the same way as robloach does

Ampache5 is getting close to stable now and I've been putting effort into speeding things up.

It 'feels' faster but I was wondering if #Apache or #PHP had some kind of benchmark tool that I could use to compare 4 vs 5.

One reason why I love using #fosstodon is it's the place where I feel like I can talk normally and ask questions.
