Ricordo che quando comprai da ragazzo il CD di #Hemispheres dei #Rush dopo aver sentito #2112, rimasi molto deluso. Sentii le prime 3 canzoni, che erano interessanti, ma già si vedeva che i #Rush erano cambiati rispetto alle origini.

Poi però ascoltai #LaVillaStrangiato, l'ultimo brano: inizialmente ci rimasi male perché era strumentale e io mi aspettavo una canzone, ma poi... Che #capolavoro. Potevano fare un disco anche solo con questo.

I did not know that today was #Rarediseaseday . Last year I had an #MRI done on my brain for something else. Then I find out that I was born with an #underdeveloped #CorpusCallosum. Or #AgenesisoftheCorpusCallosum. The Corpus Callosum is the fibrous part of the brain that connects and communicates between the two #hemispheres. This is a rare disease that can cause developmental delays, learning disabilities, and eating difficulties to name a few.

Great Albums - 1970s: #Rush – #Hemispheres (1978). By now, Rush was so in control of its vision it took two LPs to complete one multi-part epic. Just as prog was dying, Rush did a smart thing by pumping it full of heavy metal adrenaline and punk rebellion to reinvent the form. The title suite is like The Police channeling Keith Emerson, and “La Villa Strangiato” is how every kid with an Epiphone wishes they could play but can’t.
