I'm assembling my first from western red cedar. This wood is too beautiful to paint, so I'm treating the outside with 2-3 coats of tung oil. But this seems inappropriate for the inside/health of the bees. I found some at my woodworking store, which looks like it'll be a good solution - low VOC, soap&water (vs solvent) cleanup. Have any other used this? What did you (and your bees!) think of it?
