This is a list of events, activities and upsets at Hengyuan #Refinery since June 2020, compiled from notices they're required to send to local communities.

Last year, we had *212* days of activity - over half the year living with noise, smoke, toxic smells. It's only March, we've already had 36 total days in 2023.

Oil storage tank caught fire on 11 Mar ‘23 at Hengyuan #Refinery in #PortDickson, #Malaysia

2nd fire since 2020. Suspected lightning strike but why would it catch fire unless the tank isn’t properly sealed?

We live 200m from the fence. Since #Hengyuan took over from Shell in 2018 our neighborhood has been hit hard with noise, light, air pollution.

@zedecksiew and I now spend 30% of our time organizing against #bigoil.
