As I've stated many times in the past, the basis of #Liberty is, and can only possibly be, Equality. This is true whether or not you are concerning yourself with "negative" liberty (freedom from restraint) or "positive" liberty (ability to act).
The fundamental problem with politics in human civilization ultimately stems from a misconception of what constitutes #Property. #HenryGeorge made the best case for this in #ProgressAndPoverty, in 1879.

I also highly recommend reading #TThomasFortuneโs โBlack and White: Land, Labor, and Politics in the Southโ (1884), for another perspective on economic and racial justice from a Black man who was also a follower of #HenryGeorge, writing in the wake of the Civil War and the failures of the Reconstruction era.
I really only have one thing to say about #MLK each year in conjunction with the remembrance of his birth, and that is that, despite what #BernieSanders would have you believe, MLK was not a socialist, even though he did use the term "#DemocraticSocialism" in the same incorrect manner that Senator Sanders uses it.
In point of fact, MLK specifically references the economic philosophies of #HenryGeorge in his final book, "We Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?" (1967).

You may have heard that #Monopoly was invented by Lizzie Phillips and then stolen by a man and sold for profit. She designed the game to raise awareness of the single #LandValueTax as popularized by #HenryGeorge. If you haven't heard of it, I would highly recommend checking it out. The idea is that no one made the natural resources and land that we all depend on, but by monopolizing these, the wealthy shrink the employment and housing opportunities for everyone else. https://youtu.be/Li_MGFRNqOE

Want a Monopoly? You owe rent to everyone else in the form of a tax. https://youtu.be/Li_MGFRNqOE
