When Henry Kuttner (another fine writer) and Moore were married in 1940, Virgil was his Best Man. The resulting story, “Daemon”, was first published in Famous Fantastic Mysteries, October 1946 which you can read here:

Henry Kuttner's Crypt-City of the Deathless One, a sci-fi novella published in Planet Stories in 1943.

A lost world story, with killer plants and zombies, a deadly plague and a man haunted by his past.

Clever and exciting. Hugely enjoyable.

I really miss the of and by authors like or .
The short stories about constantly drunk genius/inventor Gallagher, and his robot, never stopped to amuse me.
Does anyone know modern writers, who writes in that humorous/light style these days?
