Two anonymous 17th Century ballads describing the purported evil deeds of Richard III, the murder of the Princes in the Tower, and the Battle of Bosworth Field, which was fought in 1485.
A good example of Tudor propaganda.

A song of the Life and Death of King Richard the Third (to the tune of Who list to lead a soldier's life)
and
The most cruel murther of Edward the fifth, and his brother Duke of York, in the Tower; by their Uncle Richard Duke of Gloucester (to the tune of Fortune my foe)
From Richard Johnson's ballad miscellany, The Golden Garland of Princely Delights, 1620

Eleanor Cramer:
Richard de Winter:
Robin Jeffrey:
Alison KInder: bass

1457, in the fortress of Pembroke Castle, a young woman, not yet 14 bore a son. The mother, Margaret Beaufort, was 2nd cousin to Henry VI and she named her son in his honour. She was also the widow of the king’s half-brother, Edmund Tudor, Earl of Richmond. It is unlikely that at the time of his birth, anyone foresaw that young Henry Tudor would become King Henry VII. Read more on him here. bit.ly/1RCUldq

In an age where much wealth was held in portable objects, the medieval and Tudor kings housed their jewels, plate and other valuables in jewel houses within their palaces. In Issue 04, Dr Nicola Tallis looks at those jewel houses in which Henry VII and Henry VIII stored their treasures.

1496 d. Jasper Tudor, Earl of Pembroke & Duke of Bedford died. Jasper can probably take the lion’s share of the credit for his nephew, Henry VII's ultimate triumph in the Wars of the Roses. Second son of Catherine de Valois and Owain Tudor, Jasper had been favoured by his half-brother, Henry VI, and was unfailingly loyal to the House of Lancaster. bit.ly/259dT0g

My platonic life partner just told me we should slutshame Henry VIII more, and I do t know how to respond to that.

1487 Elizabeth of York was crowned. She had been married for nearly two years, but first pregnancy, then the Lambert Simnel affair had delayed her coronation. Elizabeth has been seen as the ideal mediaeval queen – fertile, pious, not openly involved in politics, and devoted to her family. More on her here. bit.ly/339DKLc
