Did you know of the four horrible #horses once owned by King Diomedes?

They terrorized #Thrace as they were uncontrollable due to madness brought on by eating human flesh.

When #Heracles decided to steal them, he briefly left his lover Abderus alone - and the boy was promptly eaten.

Heracles eventually managed to bind the horses' mouths and lead them away...

...but not before feeding them their own master Diomedes.
