my investigation of image generating AI continues. This one is going to be a longish thread.

It occured to me that, computer code aside, the most structured image descriptions I know arethe description of heraldry, from the college of heralds.

So, I found this description for a heraldic shield, and used that for a prompt, which did not work well.

Then I asked Bing Chat to translate it into something Bing Image Creator would understand.

The Illyrian armorials are a fraud or alternate history (depending on how you look at it) made c.1590 by Petar Ohmučević, an admiral of the Spanish navy. It shows the heraldry of the fictitious Illyrian Empire, based on the short-lived empire of Stefan IV Dušan (this one is Stefan's particularly).

His family ended up in Spain after the Ottoman conquest of the Balkans and for legal reasons had to prove 16 noble great-greats to be noble himself. So this happened.
