Wee One is a wee bit sick. So we're snuggling in bed with favorite unicorn and her rainbow pajamas. I wish I could just take her pain away. Sore throats are no fun. #HereInHawkburg

After begging for pancakes, Wee One tells me she doesn't like pancakes as I drop the last one onto the pan. She wants toast.

Torn between "you'll eat this or nothing" and growling, I took a breath, remembered I'm an adult, and said, "hmmm." As I was trying to decide if this was worth arguing about, she comes back & says she was just teasing.

Now I'm firmly in the growling camp, but at least I have pink funfetti pancakes with blackberry jam to keep me company.

Our church had an Ash Wednesday service and the theme was Be Still and Know that I am God. That seems to be a good theme for Lent for me personally this year.

I'm about to get real still because I had to take a muscle relaxer and those knock me out. Apparently I moved wrong and my abdominal wall is going to tell me all about it all night. #ChronicPain is such a treat. 🙄 Going to try to read a bit before I crash. Night all!

Me: Well it's not Easter yet. It's a few weeks away.
WO: But the Easter bunny doesn't exist.
Me: Why don't you think the Easter bunny exists?
WO: Mom, they were all captured and you have to believe me, they do not exist.

I think she means the Easter Bunny is extinct?

It's a two creamer sort of day. Reading "Murder in G Major" for #MurderBuddiesBookClub and nursing a headache at a local diner.

This quote is from the book. A Bible study I joined in college used to start each week with this prayer and when we married, the pastor gave Adam and I a beautiful water color framed with the prayer underneath. I loved stumbling across it this morning.
