Hate to start the year off with sad news but #AnitaPointer, one quarter of #ThePointerSisters, has died at 74 after a battle with cancer. Anita and Ruth joined sisters Bonnie and June in 1973 to record their first album with the hit 'Yes We Can Can'. Bonnie left the group in 1977, and the new trio went on to create hits #Fire, #HesSoShy, #JumpForMyLove #NeutronDance and #ImSoExcited. The group won a total of three #Grammys. Sadly, June died in 2006, and Bonnie died in 2020.
