It's really odd to think that, according to the social mores I grew up with, if a boy encounters another boy naked in a shower, he should suppress any negative emotions or misgivings he has about being in that same room. Because homosexuality is wrong.

But if that same boy were to encounter a naked girl in the shower, he should immediately cover his eyes and leave the room. Because heterosexuality is right. Wut?

@georgetakei George I simply don't understand why #transkids #trans #kids frighten conservatives do much.

It has been quite some time since we saw a headline like "12 year old #trans #boy shoots up school killing 20 students".

Those have all been #cisgender boys and men, mostly from #conservative hetero families.

Perhaps conservative #politicians are like priests. #Confronted by their own ability to be swayed towards having #relationships of a non #heteronormative nature with these children and see the #devil in the #temptation.

They shouldn't worry too much since they have those #delicious 16 year old #pages readily #available in the #senate to satisfy all their secret desires that they can't discuss with their #pastor or #priest.

Surprising how little #gay content it #StableDiffusion produces, especially for #kink content. Apparently, most of the #BDSM community still has a #heteronormative bias.

Following on from my last tweet: I think it’s great that #Albanian #women are more able to value being women and assert their right to live freely & powerfully as women, but I think it’s sad if involves denigrating & denying those #AFAB who identify as #men or even just as #masculine women. A certain strand of #feminism tends towards creating a #female elite which is just as #heteronormative as the #male elite it aims to overthrow.

One thing that still grinds our gears is how #heteronormative the #wedding industry is. We try to lead by example and use gender-neutral languange throughout our website.

Instead of bride and groom, alternative phrases like the happy couple, the soon-to-be-weds and the classic "newly weds" are completely genderless.

We've been doing this since 2012 and still waiting for the rest of the industry to catch up
