#lemmy.world pulling a #spez and deciding to defederate with #hexbear without any discussion with the community beforehand is stupid and counterproductive. The comments section of the announcement were overwhelmingly against defederation and lots of calls to reconsider but power trip gonna power trip
So fuck lemmy.world and fuck these centrist media gatekeepers. I'm out of there
Friends of the #fediverse beware of a #lemmy fork known as #hexbear. It disguises itself as a #leftist forum, but more often than not, disinformation gets pushed to the front. Just like some other sites you'd know. Users frequently post comments that would align with the views of right-wing politicians in the US.
It's a shame too, because there are some users that are genuinely leftist, and they point out misinformation. But it doesn't matter, because this place is basically just lemmygrad 2.0

"The working class must act immediately to defeat this reanimated monstrosity. Child labor laws did not spring out of nowhere. They were the capitalists’ begrudging concession to a mobilized, militant labor movement. Our forebears told the bosses in no uncertain terms: release our children from this despicable practice, pay us enough to support our families, or you will not get our labor. We must win not only the battle, but the war."
