The week is over in Athens, and so ends the #XRay Universe conference hosted by our esteemed colleagues at XMM. There were a good number of #HEXP fans in attendance sharing their excitement for what we will learn when we #HEXPloreTheUniverse! We will post a recap of the highlights soon. #XRU2023 #XRaysAreTheBestRays #Astrodon #Astronomy #Astrophysics

Oh no, the posters are coming down and we still have so many to share! Here's one from Suvi Gezari, with a conversation with Chat-HEX-P on the potentials of X-ray spectro-timing of extragalactic nuclear transients #HEAD20 #HEXPloreTheUniverse
Have you seen Renee Ludlam's poster yet? HEX-P will unlock studies of XRBs -- detecting cyclotron lines above 80 keV, measuring magnetic fields in low-luminosity sources, constraining neutron star radii, and revealing the local conditions of XRBs. #HEAD20 #HEXPloreTheUniverse
Our next poster is from Francesca Civano. Above 8 keV, HEX-P will directly resolve 60% of the Cosmic X-Ray Background through direct detections and, by stacking sources with low-energy components detected by our LET, 80% of the CXB! We will truly #HEXPloreTheUniverse! #HEAD20
PI Daniel Stern has a poster, too -- it's a quick overview of the mission concept. The conservative, non-cryogenic HEX-P design emphasizes flight-proven technologies. All new technologies are non-aggressive and have funded development plans to reach TRL 6 within 2 years! #HEAD20 #HEXPloreTheUniverse
Another #HEXPloreTheUniverse poster at #HEAD20: Murray Brightman shows how HEX-P will enable significant improvements in the study of transient phenomena -- observing fainter, further, and broader with only one observatory.
Another highlight from yesterday as you wait for us to wake up: Peter Boorman showed how HEX-P will uncover the AGN population of our backyard. We won't just characterize the AGN we know about -- we'll learn about those we have yet to find! #HEAD20 #HEXPloreTheUniverse
We want to thank everyone who attended our Splinter Session at the @AAS_HEAD #HEAD20 meeting! We're looking forward to talking with everyone over the rest of the meeting about what will be possible when we #HEXPloreTheUniverse
#HEAD20 is just about to start! The #HEXPloreTheUniverse session begins... Now!
There is a large amount of obscuration between us and our favorite astronomical source, so we've turned Sticker HEX-P at it to investigate. We expect results that will end up in nature. #HEXPloreTheUniverse
(Only 18 hours until our splinter session to kick off #HEAD20!)
Aloha from the beach! If you're in town early for #HEAD20, don't forget to wear sunscreen, hydrate, and think about all the transformational science a work horse X-ray probe with simultaneous soft and hard coverage will enable! #HEXPloreTheUniverse #XraysAreTheBestRays

Hello everyone, it's just about time to head out (see what we did there?) to #HEAD20, a celebration of High Energy Astrophysics with the AAS HEAD! The meeting is going to start off with a bang -- the VERY FIRST session is about us! Join us on Sunday at 10:30 AM in Queen's 6 to learn all about how HEX-P will revolutionize our view of the X-ray universe!

A HEX-P sticker in the wild! If you're at #AAS241, find one of our team members (possibly at the NuSTAR booth) and pick up your own -- a work horse sticker for the work horse probe! #XRaysAreTheBestRays #HEXPloreTheUniverse

We have emphasized building a diverse team, including giving leadership roles to junior scientists. But the team isn't locked in stone -- if you're interested in our vision, reach out and get involved! #HEXPloreTheUniverse
HEX-P will revolutionize our studies of Compton-thick AGN. Not only will we be able to do better than current in much shorter exposures, but with improved accuracy, too! #HEXPloreTheUniverse
Here's an example of the level of image quality HEX-P will enable. A comparison of remnants seen in M31 and NGC 253 in the same exposure times between NuSTAR and HEX-P shows just how powerful this will be. #HEXPloreTheUniverse
HEX-P will enable us to answer questions about SMBHs that, until now, we've only been able to guess at. #HEXPloreTheUniverse
Simulations of wedding cake surveys with HEX-P show how much potential there is for discovery -- low luminosity AGN out to impressive redshifts #HEXPloreTheUniverse
There are four pillars to our science: a complete census of black hole growth, the extreme physics of accreting objects, resolved populations in the local universe, and the dynamic universe. #HEXPloreTheUniverse
If you haven't yet seen it, here are the fundamental characteristics of the observatory. Although we build on the heritage of NuSTAR, our vision is for an XMM+NuSTAR on steroids. #HEXPloreTheUniverse
