I was the only girl in my bass class in #hfmdd back in 2004. I remember the last time my prof wrote me a recommendation letter. His words were
"she is smart but barely moderately talented."

I think today I am one of the few of my cohort who still works in music, and the only who got several awards, does a lot of solo performances and tours worldwide.
