is a very odd thing.
I've tooted before about my travel related anxiety, and specifically with airports.

I've been making notes about our forthcoming break, which involves a one way flight from .
My anxiety levels have already skyrocketed - and that's just making the notes.
The isn't working for this.

Until today I've resisted the suggestion from that I get a but I'm going to go for it now.

Remembering that time recently where someone brought up those lanyards in conversation recently “for people who don’t wear masks” and had to explain what they’re actually for. Just reminds me of how much damage anti-maskers have done to the whole concept of the sunflower lanyard.

Stuff people need to stop immediatly: Using the hidden disabilities sunflower lanyard as a pun for their ableist jokes. It's not big and it's not funny.

As I said: you can’t decide whether someone looks too young or too healthy to have a walking stick, a blue button, or a . That’s literally the point of the lanyard. Getting around safely shouldn’t be this hard.

so I entered another tram and there were several seats available. i immediately thought “better not sit on the priority seat“ at the next station someone sat down next to me on the priority seat with a sunflower lanyard.
it was so ironic, because of course I thought, no you’re not disabled enough or not as disabled as the person next to me, they really deserve the priority seat, I do not!
and then i think about yesterday how exhausting the actual travelling was for me while i had my period, was heavily overstimulated from the lights, anxiety at the security, sounds, flight delay, flight itself, just in general long journey and how it was extra hard on me since i’m a high sensitivity autist and I actually do have a brain injury since birth which makes sensory input also worse

Keep telling us this. Please. I keep jumping between wanting people to see it, and know it does often help me (remove the hidden aspect) and those around me take a little extra care.
And also fight the lifelong urge to want to keep it tucked away. Not a dirty secret. But just My Problem I need to resolve to meet the world at Its Level of acceptance.
Also, so many solutions seem so much fun you feel bad for getting better this way.
