#actuallyAutistic needing a break and not getting one isn't just an every-day experience. It was normalized not to get rest early in childhood. Autistics are gas-lit that needing a break is valid or even believable. Autistics like me don't get to use the words that describe our needs. That's what made me #highFunctioning. No options.

@Szilvia@aus.social Absolutely not! Hans #Aspergers was basically a #Nazi and pretty much let non-asperges #autistics out to die while keeping the autistics classified as Aspergers. As well, functioning levels like #highfunctioning #lowfunctioning and Aspergers are now considered harmful by the #actuallyautistic community so I'm glad that we are moving away from that. #autisticadvocacy #neurodivergent
