High School Family - This series was so inconsistent from Day 1. When it was on, it was on. When it wasn't, it was so mid.

But the sports arcs were some of my favorites of any running series when they happened.

The series ended mildly with a jump ahead to graduation whimper. And some vague story of a new student going to school with a robot from home.

No idea of what is next. Just kind of ending.

So, I leave you with Gomez and the Principal.

I really hope this is the start of a straight up volleyball arc. Please. I need more #Haikyuu references.

High School Family - This chapter is cute. A classmate lost his parents (prison for cult crimes) and has decided to put his sister first by foregoing college.

The entire Ietani family one after the other and his sister tell him to make sure to do what he needs to do for himself.

Everyone shows concern for him.

It's sweet.

Love this moment specifically cause, attitude goals.

High School Family - Kakei leads their shogi team to victory finally besting his rival. They then summarize the rest of the tournament in a single panel saying they came in second place.

It was a fun chapter, but I just want them to stretch these sports manga arcs out longer.

My screenshot choice was, to me, the funniest moment in the chapter.

High School Family - Kakei starts getting into the leadership role in the shogi tournament. The Hapnee team wins a few rounds.

At one point, Kakei scolds Haruka because he can tell that she's slacking, not taking her opponents seriously.

The chapter ends with them going up against Kakei's rival's team.

Haruka & the Hapnee High Shogi Club are off to a tournament. And they crush it in the first round.

But, a rival of one of the older boys in the club is there and is already mocking him. So, despite Haruka being the strongest player - she asks him to be the captain.

High School Family - It's a parent-teacher conference chapter so all the jokes are pretty much silly jokes about a whole family attending high school together.

High School Family - The school trip arc comes to an end. Kotaro and Yumiki are technically a couple now, which leaves Yashiki sad as her crush on Kotaro hasn't ended...even if he was too oblivious to notice. They have a cute moment where she basically says that one day he'll know about it.
