Lupino said of Bogart many years later: "When he liked you and he believed in you, he was the most loyal, wonderful guy in the whole wide world."

Since it is Humphrey Bogart day on #TCM, I’ll share a couple items I’ve written related to him.
Three years ago, I was distressed to discover that the dog Pard in “High Sierra” did not belong to Bogart — despite numerous internet and other sources claiming he did.

Here’s Ann Sheridan on the set of “They Drive By Night”, directed by Raoul Walsh in the spring of 1940.
What’s that book on the table next to her? It’s the recently-published “High Sierra” by W.R. Burnett, which Walsh would be directing a film version of by late summer.

@hyperjeff 100% reproducible scenario (still in #Monterey, but true since #HighSierra at least) to get a foreground window in the background in #macOS #Finder: in Finder window, make the name of a item **editable**, then immediately click on the (BG) window of another app.

37 followers · 413 posts · Server mstdn.socialOlder Time Machine doesn't offer the choice of Hourly/Daily. You can do them manually, which is ok if you remember.. turn on the icon in the Menubar to make it simpler.
Alternatively CCC as mentioned or ChronoSync. Personally, I do ChronoSync for specific Folders and Time Machine for general.

I'm fastidious about using Time Machine for backing everything up but I don't need an hourly back up. On this old old tired MacBook Pro 2012 it takes over my machine continuously. In prefs there is no way to change it to every 12 hours which I would prefer. And bonus points for being able to chose the appointed hours.
(I've already tried TimeMachineScheduler which installs but does not activate.)
