I was surprised at the number of tourists we had- it wasn't a ton, but that there were any at all considering how badly the storm hit the coast.

MENDOCINO COUNTY | HWY 1
5:30 pm 1/4/23 - California Highway Patrol is reporting a small rockslide and tree down on northbound Highway 1 in Flumeville, south of Stornetta. CHP reports that a California State Parks vehicle is stuck between rocks. Northbound traffic is heavily impacted. There is no closure at this time. Please avoid the area if you can.

We have our first Highway 1 closure in Mendocino County:
As of 1:26 p.m. 1/4/23 The intersection of Highway 1 and Iverson Point Rd is closed per Caltrans due to trees and power lines down and blocking both lanes of Highway 1. It is unknown when it will reopen.
