Third day in #Gibraltar - took the cable car to top and #hiked all the way down.

Today we drove into the #garajonay national park and #hiked up to the ermita de lourdes. It’s a very tranquil place the feels like its in a mythical forest. Moss covers the ancient trees with long fronds of verdant green. It’s very humid, but also cool compared to the lower areas of La Gomera. The diversity of plant life is astounding.
Near the base of our hike, we stopped for a watercress soup that was truly delicious. It came with Gofia flour to thicken it to taste.

I kind of love that if I'm wondering exactly how far I just #hiked, I can just look it up on #Google and it'll tell me instantly.

But I kind of hate that Google knows exactly how long my #hike was before I do.

(Turns out it was a little over four miles, which is a little under 6.5 euro-miles.)

Amazing day #climbing at Cedar Rock Mountain, a remote granite cliff deep in the Pisgah National Forest in Western North Carolina. We #hiked ten miles to get to the foot of the crag along the gorgeous Art Loeb Trail. Once we were finished, we rappelled back to the ground again and began the long hike back out. Throw in six hours of driving, and that’s what a full day looks like. So much fun!
