Cats were eager to go on a hike yesterday. We hadn't gone hiking for almost two weeks due to homestead break downs. ( Water pump, water system) and a serious invasion of rip gut brome infiltrating a beautiful ca native grassland. Sigh
Ruffy's tongue is healing, but im having to persuade her to try eating.

Cat wrestling and Devil's Trumpet. It took me three days to figure out what was wrong with my water pump. Not the spark plug, air filter, nor water in gas, or crud in the carburetor. Twas the gas cap that wasn't letting air in. Guys at the small engine repair shop gave me a used one. Pump running like new, one water tank filled, two to go.

One of this weeks hikes, we took a deer trail. Ruffy, Kamala and Tanji, get excited when we take a new route.

I do not mind this rare snow,
I put on water for tea and invited the cats to go for a walk. Ruffy and Kamala were game, Tanji decided to sleep in. In some places snow is as deep as cats are tall. Ruffy complained a little at how deep the snow was. So I kept reminding Ruffy that her people, her mother's ancestors, are from a snowy forest landscape like this.

Ruffy and I took a hike today. We needed a break. No sleep listening to all the yowling, howling, and caterwauling. Kamala's been in heat for four days, and Tanji just started. They are pissed that they have to stay indoors. A big, gold eyed Tom cat, who thinks he's Pavorati, is camped under the house. He comes out when it is dark, and croons at the french glass doors.
Good news is they have an appointment to get spayed on the 17th. I may put up the tent in the yard and sleep there until things settle down.

@nlowell The hashtag makes the posts findable by searching for the "#hashtag" and then clicking on the hashtag until you find what you want to see.

Whereas I'd like to search for "#hashtag" and see all the related posts tagged with it.

It's really weird to explain.

Right now, the only posts that show up with "hashtag" (have to remove the # to have text search) when i search for it are ones I've boosted, posted, favorited, or bookmarked. The public posts with the #hashtag do not show up in search. Only the hashtag that you can use to drill down.

For example, search for "#hiking" only shows the hashtags with #hiking in it such as #hikinguk #hikingwithcats - which is good, but why don't we see the public posts tagged with #hiking ?? I can CLICK on #hiking and see them - so they're just nested when they don't need to be and a lot of people don't know to click the nest.
