It's tempting to believe the NYT actually wanted Trump to be elected.

That is, their burying the Russian interference story was not simply due to the fact that they were being excessively diligent in their aim of critiquing Clinton, whom they presumed would be the winner. They wanted the tax cuts; they wanted the tabloid circus.

Can someone convince me otherwise? I'm open to hear it.
