Japanese cypress cut down at the entrance to our road. I grabbed some of the wood and split it today. What a great smell. Felt like I was in a traditional Japanese bath tub. Seems a pity to burn it, but my sauna needs firewood. I might take a few chunks and try some carving though.

Easy to split compared to the crazy sycamore wood I got two years ago.
