There is a tiny beach next to the harbour where we used to go because it was safer than the big beach for my much younger brother to play in the water. The railway curves around from the viaduct and went virtually over our heads. 60 years ago and I still miss it.

In 1999 we moved to Llangollen having tried north, south and middle England and felt weirdly at home. Then after 17 happy years we moved to be nearer the grandchildren and I'm devastated. #hiraeth
