Ha, I just came across the footnote no. 7 in the short story 鼴鼠 (Mogera Wogura) by 川上弘美 (Hiromi Kawakami). I suffer from multiple levels of ignorance here - for a start I only knew that 朝顔 literally means morning face, rather than morning glory (the flower). And to go from that to urinal (because of the funnel shape of the flower)... 🤯

Starting my first 川上弘美 Hiromi Kawakami short story in Japanese, 鼴鼠 (called Mogera Wogura in English, although that's not a direct translation).
It's about 20 pages long, so I'll tell you what I think of it when I finish it in about a year 😁
