Parents, talk to your children about arcades... before someone else does.
Why yes, watching Haruo and Akira play Shin Nekketsu Kouha in #HiScoreGirl has made me think about the franchise where the roundhouse to the face is the standard form of greeting.
Happiness is watching #HiScoreGirl with a special someone whom I love and loves me back.
Haruno Yaguchi from Hi Score Girl.
I love this series. Sometimes I have the ending song stuck in my head from out of the blue. I would really recommend watching this series. (especially if you like games. And love.)

@TapiocaPearl I've done this several times, btw. I just did it yesterday. I watched the ending of #HiScoreGirl knowing what would happen. And when I saw it happen, it still struck me hard, I was still surprised, in a different way, and emotions welled up into tears in my eyes.
But maybe that's just me.
#HiScoreGirl season 2 ep 1 dropped on Friday! I watched it yesterday.
It seemed more like a recap/teaser. Didn't advance the plot too much. I still had fun, and I'm looking forward to more.
I hope more people start watching #HiScoreGirl, because I want to chat more about it and compare notes.
Hm, by the looks of YouTube comments, it looks like #HiScoreGirl has quite the Spanish-speaking audience. I think our arcade culture must have been closer to Japan's than it was in the US? I don't know, it feels so similar to me.
Also helps a lot that the Spanish dub is quite good. I think I might watch the next episodes in Spanish instead of English.
I'm so excited, more episodes of #SheRa and #HiScoreGirl are coming soon...
Just quickly checked out the LatAm Spanish dub of #HiScoreGirl. A few interesting things:
* We don't really have a standard word for "arcade" in Spanish, so the translation avoids the word. They rephrase sentences to say stuff like "playing" instead of "being at the arcades".
* Unlike the English dub, the Spanish dub does things like having the kids always use first names with each other, never family names.
* Spanish calls the final boss of SF2 "M. Bison", not Vega.
Episode 9 of #HighScoreGirl (I guess the official English spelling is #HiScoreGirl, but I don't like that as much) made me tear up again. It's so cute!
However, I'm kind of annoyed a little at the apparent wish-fulfillment (Mary Sue?) of this story. Two girls fawning over a complete loser guy just because he's really good at videogames? I mean, c'mon.
Have a Hark A Vagrant comic to explain:

(CW: sexualised but ridiculous doodles of female characters)
My female friend is watching #baki too.lol It's too gory.
I recomend her to watch #hiscoregirl. I watched this during vacation in Japan.
