Every year, there's a valentines-themed Steampunk festival (Stupid Cupid) that happens in my area. There's a dress design floating around in my head that's all bronze hearts and skeleton keys, and a jacket buckled with this belt!

The sleeves are tentatively on!
They're only basted in for now and I will ponder them and see if some divine inspiration makes me see how to still improve on them, but there they are.

looks even more like a jacket! Ideally I'd finish the hem sometime soon, but I also haven't decided yet if I want to make and add shoulder padding, sleeve head padding or perhaps tulle inside the sleeve. Perhaps later!

! 100% Oeko-Tex linen, with a cotton twill hem facing.

I just got done with finishing it by hand, all six metres of hem facing. πŸ˜„β€‹

Here's a clip of it being worn in the glamorous setting of my living room, until such a time I can be bothered to document it better. Made from The Black Snail Patterns Fan Skirt pattern, which was drafted using a 1890 tailoring guide - with my modifications.

Sometimes you make something and it just calls for fangs. Such was the case with this fancy little capelet I threw together with some wool and velvet remnants I had lying around. I also used it as a chance to add some trimmings like soutash and fringe.
