I get why this is the sort of story publications want to run with, but it's really not a meaningful question in , and trying to make it more answerable by basing age on with is not the greatest message as it implies that many of those unwritten they mention have less value.

Andrew Hardie "has been working on something for a while", and I need a Swedish new compound for this: VILLHÖVER! (EN translation: mundave, from need + must have.)
"Mortal VARD" is a Linux command line software that offers easier post editing of Early Modern English, specifically Shakespearean language. Perfect for variants of a language, but of course one needs to tweak it to one's needs. Code not out yet, but may be.

Has anyone blogged about how cool the mashup of Old English/Middle English spelling is in Ancient Hyrulean in : Tears of the Kingdom yet? Did someone legit consult on the project? It's truly delightful. 1/?

@jentrification What an amazing--and amazingly rare (?)--opportunity for historical linguistics studies! Usually you can only study these changes across large groups over time and not from a single family's phonetic/phonological changes. I wonder where else there are similar examples. Maybe small Appalachian communities? neat

Happy ! To celebrate, here’s our video about the Food Web, and how it’s a better model for ecosystems than the food chain. We made it for our friend the @RvingNaturalist’s channel, and she has a lot more videos there about nature and ecology that you should check out! youtu.be/OxKvcA4NpaQ

Hey, it’s ! Surprisingly, few of our etymological videos centre on big words, but we’ve done a couple of shorts about some bigger words, like Kenspeckle and Bedizened: youtu.be/rpFH70CPMWA
