This post “Modularity maximization considered harmful” is an excellent, thorough yet readable piece by @tiago. I'd consider it a must-read for anyone in #HistoricalNetworkResearch #HNR, given that the modularity method in #Gephi was the first introduction to community detection for many of us. @dh #DigitalHumanities
