Once in a while, demolition happens. I fought hard for this one, but alas.

I watched for much of the day and was rewarded with this fabulous juxtaposition. Every stitch of this building went into the landfill, but gosh darned it, the owner recycles!!!

Obwohl ich erst fünf Jahre an dieser Anschrift lebe, interessiere ich mich für den Ort. Es ist wichtig, zu verstehen, wer wir sind, wo wir sind, woher wir kommen und was hinter uns liegt: Nichts kommt von nichts!

This was the family home of Lady Jane Grey, the "Nine Day Queen", briefly crowned as #Queen of #England on 10 July 1553 before being deposed by Mary Tudor 9 days later, and executed on 12 February 1554 as a threat to Mary's succession to the #throne.
