@mosier_histgeek Use hashtags a lot! Mastodon is far less intrusive into your posts than twitter is so you need those hashtags for people to find you. You can also follow hashtags. I'm guessing #Education #History #Historodon I think for starters should work #Academics ?
Just be sure to add text description to your graphics for accessibility (It's on the edit button for the graphic after you upload it) CW for content warning follow what other people do. I'll finish the rest of this book tonight, but Rebecca Hall's Wake: The Hidden History of Women-Led Slave Revolts is something really special. The book is about her work as a #historian recreating a suppressed past from the fragments that remain in official documents. I'm already trying to think about how I might integrate this text into my research writing classes. It's really accessible, and its accessibility only amplifies its profundity. #Books #historodon #BlackHistory #edutooters
