Old lies and conspiracy theories are resurrected and given a new life, hatreds and biases are nurtured, veiled calls to violence are amplified. Hate and prejudice are the result of ignorance, fear, and laziness. once when I was in elementary school, I got sick, and when my mom came to pick me up, she mentioned aged met a friend of mine in the hall and they'd said they hoped I felt better. she described the friend, but I had no idea who they were.
