got a new book yesterday. I snagged it on ebay for a few quid as my toshiba hx-10 didnt have any manuals, and this was really cheap. sony introduction to MSX basic from their hit bit msx computers i assume. its actuially a really good duide to basic. I had a quick skim through last night and its quite comprehensive.
theres a copy on internet archive if anyone wants a browse.

Eventually got the #Composite cable I was missing for my #Sony #HitBit 75D
Unfortunately, one of the previous owners engraved his name on the top cover. Other than that, the machine works fine!

It's finally there, my first #MSX machine ever!!
And it's a not a trick, it's #Sony - which is great as I've been digging the #HitBit series ever since I saw #SigueSigueSputnik posing with such a machine on the 1985 cover of their "21st century boy" 12" single. Boy, those were the days!
Anyway - here's the machine and fortunately, it came with all the original, german language documentation!
I'm also lucky that the machine came with the battery buffered HBI-55 data cartridge, so I can use it without the need of external storage, which measn tape (well, as long as my code doesn't exceed 4KB, heh).
I'm a bit surprised to see that the manuals are made of plain, thin white paper pamphlets. Which is unusual for computer manuals. In fact, they are almost identical in look and feel to the ones Sony provided with their VCRs, CD players and Walkman cassette players. Not much love for "consumer product" at Sony backj then, huh?!

Isn't she a beauty? π€©Many things to discover - I have no clue about #MSX #Sony #HitBit Let's see what she can do... #RetroComputing #Retrogaming

@polpo certainly one of the prettier models, yes; don't forget to include the #MSX hashtag so some more MSX lovers get their eyeballs on it. ;)
Another #HitBit that I enjoy the aesthetics of, is the Sony HB-F1XD, which also sports that lovely red, albeit as a more subtle accent.
