Roman Treasure Stolen from British Museum After Metal Detectorists Forfeited it by Law For Safekeeping.

Close up of the filigree #torc from the #BlairDrummond #hoard which was found in 2009.

This torc is likely about 2300 years old and is very distinctive, unusually showing a very #European (probably #Greek or #Etruscan) style of #making . However, there's no reason to suggest it has to have come from continental Europe, as #craftspeople and #ideas were travelling all over at this time.
