Re-arranged my boxes into labels and removed the one lingering (offensive?) #dvd (Door into darkness). Besides the one #HDDVD box its now all #bluray all the time. #PhysicalMedia #hoarder Should I put them in order of release within labels? I may obsess about this too much? Still… I just need like one more box set and the hddvd will have to go to the dvd-box shelf. Oh the humanity!

Discovered earlier that the collar of a t-shirt had the beginning of a rip in it at the seam. So I mended it.

And earlier in the week I sewed a name label in my Scout Group hoodie. I wouldn’t normally consider putting a name on clothing, but since so many have them there’s certainly an above average chance of it getting mistakenly taken if I leave it laying about. Plus it seemed like fate as I found the labels at bottom of a drawer & they’re still immaculate despite their age. #Hoarder #Sewing

Out of curiousity, I just counted up how many #books I have in my house at the moment - just under 400, excluding notebooks, sketchbooks etc. My shelf-space-use has been pretty steady for a few years now.

At one time (pre-internet!) I used to have about 2000 on topics that interested me. I thinned this out to about 1000 at a house move, and since then I've been pretty vicious about thinning my library regularly, although the 400 is not a static collection, but in constant churn - I probably buy around 100 books a year, mainly from local charity shops but also from raiding 2nd hand bookshops for more specialised local stuff (rocks / minerals / fossils / geology etc.) on my travels.

@onan In case I fall asleep before tonight's Ask Dr. Hal: I just heard last week's show and his plea for show archive (due to RV losing everything before mid-2022). Turns out, I was answering his call from a _previous show_ re: old-time radio shows. An SSD is headed his way soon with my OTR *AND* SubGenius collections -- including Ask Dr. Hal's going back to 2011 (though I am missing most of 2020).
