We're going on a cruise in August and I need to make a start on various clothing projects. So behold this new crochet start that I'm excited for, but is also boring black, so I put it on fun cactus fabric for you, but then also I couldn't be bothered to iron the cactus fabric.

In theory this will become a Cosmos Blouse which is a free pattern from Hobbii. Pretty sure I've done it wrong, but nothing a good blocking won't fix!

In my hunt for the perfect lace yarn to replace my beloved Drops Lace (an alpaca/silk blend) the time has come for Soft Alpaca Lace from #Hobbii!

This is the first of two lace cuffs (using a pattern from ravelry but extending the cuff part) and while it doesn't have *quite* the sheen or strength that a touch of silk would add, it is light, warm and beautiful. This uses a 3.5mm hook, except the foundation chain where I used a 4.5mm @fibrearts #MelindreaMakes #MastoArt

Finished this little guy today! He was so fun and easy to crochet. I don't often do any amigurumi stuff but when I do, I remember how fun it can be!

I‘ve received another delivery from #hobbii. 🫣 Wish me luck that now I‘ve enough yarn to finish my granny squares. I‘ve also ordered a prym ergonomics #crochet hook to try out how my hand likes the shape.
