I'm trying to sort out pacing for my next #s2b2 #hockeyboys story, and I can't decide which should be the opening scene, or how to fiddle things. I think I need to rearrange things quite a bit, but I'm still in the thinking out loud and outlining on paper phase.

Less #fatigue today means I can write more hockey boys for #s2b2 -- I've got about 8K to go to hit my self-imposed deadline and desired draft length, and ten days to do it in. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can!

Should be writing my hockey boys but Kolya isn't participating, so I'm going to think out loud.

Next story's central conflict (after Higher Than Hay Bales) is set in the fall of 2013: Family knows now so do we tell anyone on the team? Nick says sure, Kolya is paranoid like whoah.

Story after that is set at Sochi, I think - I need to resolve NYC team response first.

Learning a lot about Sochi for my hockey boys story - mostly about how badly Russia got trounced at home, poor bastards. Losing at home has to suck. Losing at home when Pvtin is your head of state and he sees hockey as the national pastime? OUCH.
