Can hear her singing downstairs. My Serbo-Croatian is lamentable, but I recognise the tune. It's an old Yugoslavian partisan song, the opening line of which translates to... "America and England will be proletarian too some day".

In your opinion, what is the most recent Christmas song to earn a status as a bonafide classic? Have there been any iconic Christmas standards composed since 1994 (the year Mariah recorded "All I Want For Christmas Is You")?

All I ever seem to hear this time of year are endless covers of songs composed in Victorian times, the 40s, 50s, a handful from the 80s, plus Mariah.
