Just finished a book I have chosen by the cover and description in a local bookstore - #bookofnight by #hollyblack . It’s a fantasy about a modern time world with a special kind of magic revealed - shadow magic. And a bit about love, about life and stuff. I really enjoyed following #charliehall story and imagining the world created by the author. Good read!

❦ Jakie to były przyjemne książki! Przyszły do mnie akurat w momencie, gdy szukałam jakiegoś lekkiego fantasy. A co może być lepszego niż historia o okrutnych elfach, która ma elementy romansowe, ale nie do przesady, i świetnie przetworzony motyw enemies to lovers? Elfy w serii Holly Black są groźne i podstępne, co było dla mnie szokiem, bo kojarzyłam tylko gdzieś w oddali umysłu posągowego Orlando Blooma z Władcy Pierścieni, a po drugiej stronie spektrum – Dzwoneczka z Piotrusia Pana.

❦ Z radością złapałam się na kilka zmyłek przygotowanych przez autorkę – od wyboru ukochanego głównej bohaterki (chociaż z niedowierzaniem, bo raczej od początku było wiadomo, kim jest tytułowy okrutny książę) po elfowe zagrywki polegające na grach słów. Samo zakończenie też przypadło mi do gustu – tego typu bajkowe historie potrzebują cukierkowych zakończeń, cudownego mieszania się dwóch odległych światów i pizzy (kto wie, ten wie!)

❦ Polecam miłośnikom i miłośniczkom lekkich i szybkosięczytających historii fantasy, young adult, tropu enemies to lovers i sarkastycznego humoru.

❦ Zdjęcie robione w Empiku, ale opamiętałam się i (mimo superceny) nie kupiłam! Jeśli ktoś by chciał więcej moich wrażeń i trochę spoilerów, a także polemikę ze spoilerową częścią podcastu Czytu Czytu, zajrzyjcie parę postów wstecz na mojego Instagrama (to recyklingowany wpis).
