Ik wil dit dakraampje #automatiseren; wanneer er regen is moet het dicht en anders mag het open. Door #homeassistant gedreven. Wie heeft er goede tips?

Just a quick follow up to say that the #M5Stack ATOM Echo & my old rotary phone are both working great via @nodered!
The @homeassistant guide at https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/voip is how I setup the rotary phone, in case anyone is wondering

Anleitungen und Tipps zuhauf zu dem Thema gibt es bei @hobbyblogging
Viel Spaß beim Frickeln und viel Erfolg bei der Umsetzung!
🏡 @homeassistant Hot Tip of the Day 🔥
BACK. UP. YOUR. DATA
Since a few versions, Home Assistant supports network storage.
If you have a NAS, setting up a daily backup takes less than 2 minutes.
Seriously: Watch
It has been 4 days and the #RaspberryPi has not had a single hiccup. I think it proves that PoE was really not delivering enough power. Bummer, but at least it was an easy fix.

Das Update von #HomeAssistant auf 2023.9.1 hakt seit Tagen, ob das noch was wird?
Today I received an #M5Stack ATOM Echo & followed the “$13 voice remote for @homeassistant” guide linked below. It is truly impressive how fast and well this thing works! I setup an automation that listens for “Bedtime” and virtually presses a button created in @nodered that does all the bedtime things like turning off lights and locking doors. The automation part is crazy fast!

Haha yessss, outside lights turn on when a person is detected on the driveway now
I just updated my years old @homeassistant instance from 32bit to 64bit by 1. doing a complete backup, 2. creating a new #HomeAssistant OS image on a separate SD card and 3. restoring my backup within the setup process of this new installation. Took me 30 minutes (mostly waiting) and worked like a charm!
Decent progress!
* video card is mapped into containers, with time slicing to share between pods
* camera object detection is functioning
* mqtt is no longer haunted
* fiber cable works!
Next:
* #HomeAssistant events
* second/third camera mounted
* put the GPU stuff in Argo properly

I think this would be nice to use as interactive switch in #HomeAssistant https://shop.m5stack.com/products/m5paper-esp32-development-kit-v1-1-960x540-4-7-eink-display-235-ppi
Appears I broke my install of #homeassistant on the pi by upgrading. I'd been looking to shift it onto a pi4 and had everything nearly ready. The upgrade broke because I'd used the mariadb component for recorder that didn't start, now recorder, history, components are all broke...
The new tile cards in #HomeAssistant work so much better on mobile devices.
Thanks to @balloob for pointing out that long term statistics are part of #HomeAssistant
There are two Statistics cards that can show this data. A single entity card shows sum of data over a certain period, so I could get a YTD sum of the energy used by the EVSE.
The graph card has some interesting charts, but you can only do a today - DAYS display, so I can only do past 365 days. Still useful.
Some people were able to use Apex for this, but Grafana will be best once InfluxDB has more data.
Added a bunch of template sensors to convert the temperature sensors into Fahrenheit. Now that #HomeAssistant has the Template option built into the helpers, it's a lot easier.
The sensors are new, so there is no historical data yet, but the graphs will look the same as the ones on the left by tomorrow
Any #homeassistant experts around. I used to play Spotify through HA but after some
Recent update (not sure which one anymore 🫣), i cannot het it to work… very annoying… anyone with the same problems?
I'm still trying to figure out a Solar Excess Charging Automation in #HomeAssistant. Still not understanding Node Red very well, and the Tesla Automation code I am basing mine on isn't working.
The Vue Connect device I got from Emporia as a replacement is still not connecting to my SDG&E Meter, so I can't use theirs.
why do so many of my Eve devices not show up in their designated room, or with their name, but some do? The #EveEnergy outlets all identify as the same model 20EBU4101 and firmware 3.2.1, but some have a #Thread Transport layer setting?

I cannot find any #Grafana #HomeAssistant Dashboards to use as a jump off point. Are there really none out there? I'd rather not start from scratch.
Looking for temperature and energy graphs mostly.
